Pros: Excellent in removing smell.
Cons: Expensive, don't think it is found in stores.
I love this litter, a crystal litter, made from silicone sand, is little white, roundish grains, which absorb the moisture from cat urine and feces. All you have to do is scoop out the feces and flush them down the toilet. How long it lasts depends on how many cats you have, but you discard it when most of the grains have turned yellow.
They have a website, (www.ultimatepetproducts.com) where you can order it, along with some cleaning products. The instructions say that the used crystals can be added to a compost pile and are degradable back into sand.
I tried several types of alternative cat litters before I found this one, but I like this one the best.

Pros: Just scoop out poop. Lasts one month. Clear crystals.
Cons: Not available at grocery stores.
I have been using this product for about 2 months and really like it. I have four cats and regular scoopable litter for them got pretty smelly.
Each day or several times a day I simply scoop out the feces and sweep around the boxes (I have 4). Once a month, when the crystals turn a wheat color throughout, I dispose of all the litter and open a new bag.
I think it is about the same cost, but is neater and lessens the odor. There is less product tracked out of the boxes. My cat sitter told me about it and I get it from her at a lower cost than in the stores.

After having used Ultimate Cat Litter for two months, I am convinced that this is the best cat litter on the market. Not only do my cats love it, I love it! Nomore heavy clumps to try to deal with and for someone with arthritis, this is a big concern. Also, I find that we have much less litter tracked onto the carpet. I also appreciate the fact that the bag is not as heavy as the bag of clumping cat litter. It is much easier to carry the litter box when necessary. Its so nice to find a product that actually lives up to the claims on the label.

We just tried Ultimate litter, we *love* it. I have to say that Ultimate is
exactly what I have been searching for - as if I imagined the perfect
product and it materialized!
They (Catnip Magazine) said "the test cats lined up to use this litter" and they were right! As I said, my cat refuses to go back to his older crystals at this point. ;-) It truly is the perfect cat litter though and exactly what I have been looking for all these years (crystal litter with fine sandy texture and no added scent)! We've tried Ultimate in one of our cat's boxes for one month, and he *loves* it and is refusing to use the other two boxes w/ the old crystal litter!
